Russian Roulette, 2008, was the 25th anniversary project of Lea Anderson's dance companies The Cholmondeleys and The Featherstonehaughs. Inspired, in part, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky's 'The Gambler'. It took the form of six shows, choreographed and performed over a tight ten week period. I played improvised guitar and assisted musical director Steve Blake in musical structure. All music was improvised within broadly set parameters. The ensemble included, among others, pioneering UK improvisors such as Steve Beresford, John Edwards, Pat Thomas and Mark Sanders. The 'residency' took place at London's legendary Royal Vauxhall Tavern with design by Simon Vincenzi.
